Disiraet is the fifth planet in the Naxarius solar system. This planet is similar to that of Earth in many ways...the main being it can support life and has breathable air. Unlike Earth however Disiraet has three moons. The planet of Disiraet is a lush oasis that although inhabited, has hardly been spoiled by mankind. The majority of the planet is covered in lush forest and water covers only 60% of the planet, as opposed to the 80% that covers Earth’s surface. Discovered nearly 800 years ago the first colonist’s did not settle on the planet immediately. Disiraet was only to be used as a last resort in the event that Earth could not be saved. Irreparable pollution damage and nuclear wars had taken their toll on the Earth’s atmosphere and it was no longer able to support human life. Space craft’s were sent out in different directions as humans decided to settle on several habitable planets in nearby solar systems. In the beginning there were only 2000 colonists to settle on Disiraet. They formed the Kingdom of Talaneasia and lived together peacefully for nearly 300 years. Over time they began to notice changes amongst themselves and soon they were able to discern very real changes in their offspring. The first mutations were quickly shunned and as panic spread of viral infections, people began to dispose of the ‘infected’.
Most of the now evolving colonists fled to different uninhabited portions of the planet. Those that required blood to sustain life learned to curb their urges to kill humans and animals alike, and sanctioned themselves a leader. Vampires, as they became known as, were the first known Immortal clan to try and coexist with the human colonists. An uneasy truce existed for nearly 50 years, the other clans began to emerge and trade with the colonists. Elvin people emerged from deep within the woods sharing their magical gifts with the populace. They were peaceful and very quiet…mostly keeping to themselves except to use their healing abilities. The Syl’verth, as they became known as, were more readily accepted by the Talarnians. Talarnians is the name give to the original human colonists by the Immortals. They are named after their first established kingdom. Magi not having fled far because they still carried humanistic traits also found more acceptance from the Talarnians. Shapeshifter’s were the longest immortal clan to reside amongst the humans. Being cast out last they too had taken to the forests and mountain ranges. It was there they honed their abilities and with their communal skills with other life forms they became well revered over time as dragon callers.
The first war now known as the War of the Forsaken was a war created as a diversion to kill the Immortal’s. Some religious fanatical’s couldn’t tolerate the notion that Immortals and Talarnians could coexist. The Immortal’s were seen as an abomination…a curse that needed to be eradicated from the planet. One of the main religious organizations, known as the Rosengrant’s, sent out an operative hired to assassinate the ruler of the Talarnians. The assassin was successful in his mission and evidence was planted indicating that Vampire nobility had been the culprit. Vampires, claiming innocence tried to reason with the Talarnians...but were thwarted when the Rosengrant took control of the government. Without an apparent heir to the throne the Church was able to seize the throne and assume control. In killing the Talarnian monarch the Rosengrant, was able to focus its attention on the genocide of the Immortal’s. Displeased with the former government’s acceptance of the Immortals, they easily took out one problem with the assassination and used its outrage to front a full scale war against the clans.
Over time, the Talarnian military managed to push the surviving Immortals back as far as the largest and most dangerous mountain chain on the planet; Khaos Derge. Khaos Derge a semi extinct chain of volcanoes is home to violent lightning storms and seismic activity. It stretches around a fairly large peninsula in a crescent shape. It surrounds the peninsula on three sides and is backed by the Sea of Woes. The Valley below Khaos Derge, is called the Valley of Echoes, and believed by many of the planet’s inhabitants to be haunted. Strange cries and wails are often heard carried on the wind and most people stayed away from the peninsula due to fright and rampant superstition. It turned out to be in fact a blessing in disguise for the fleeing exiles. The Immortals fled into the valley escaping the might of the Talarnian forces and began anew. To the west along the step like cliff formations the Shapeshifter’s took refuge building their fortress into the surrounding mountain walls. Huge building structures can be seen etched into the face of the mountains near where they dwell and massive statues carved of rock depict dragons and birds of prey in various stages of flight. Dragons learning of the shapeshifters exile into the Valley of Echoes soon gathered together and claimed the mountains there as their home as well. Thus the Shapeshifters home became known as Draconia. Dragons are a beneficial species to the Shapeshifters and to Nocturne March as a whole. They are the main source of flight transportation into and about Nocturne March. Not wanting to make the same grave error as their human counterparts, the Immortals did not force the dragons into bondage to be used as weapons of war. Instead they were asked to join Nocturne March and several sit in the High Council as government officials. Dragons swearing allegiance to Nocturne March have in turn offered assistance during times of war if requested by the people of Nocturne March. Given free will...they have become a strong and dependable ally to the Immortal clans.
To the North building their own refuge, the Vampires built huge castles out of black volcanic rock and crystals. Raven’s Keep is the oldest of these building’s and is where the first family of the Vampire clan resides. The huge collection of structures is known as the Obsidian Fortress. Vampires were believed to be the first discovered of the evolving colonists and therefore are revered by the other clans as the Elder’s. It is here that the High Council members meet and court is held. Technologically advanced they have shielded themselves from the sun’s harmful rays and are able to move about in daylight hours, but they prefer the night and conduct most of their business and socializing in the twilight hours. Still as a precaution the windows in and about the Vampire stronghold are pretreated to allow the viewer to look out at the world but let’s none of the sun’s ray’s to enter the buildings. Vampires are sensitive to sunlight but it is not fatal unless they are in it for long periods of time. Sunlight weakens them and leaves them horribly fatigued therefore leaving them virtually defenseless. They learned how to harness the energy of sea water and created huge generators which bring electricity to all the buildings in and around the clan’s stronghold.
Obsidian Fortress sits against the Khaos Derge Mountains and is guarded closely by the Falken. Falken are elite guards of the 3 families. Assassins and warriors, they are genetically enhanced to serve as military to protect the occupants of Nocturne March. Falken are tested vigorously before acceptance and they volunteer to be genetically altered by the government. Chosen from the three ruling families these guards are stationed throughout Nocturne March in huge numbers. Each Section of Nocturne March has its own set of 5 regiments. Also each of the main families has their own personal guards. To the east of it's brethren lies the kingdom of Alkrith'ra. This is where the noble and peaceful Elven clan resides. Much like the vampire in looks, the Elven people have eloganted ears and etheral qualities but, they are easily discernable by several dominating traits. The main being that the elven race of Disiraet glow. Their skin sparkles softly like diamond dust when touched by either sunlight or moonlight. Building their homes in the massive trees of the forests the Syl’verth's empire is the largest of the three oldest clans. Their homes are built into the massive trunks and branches of the trees wich they protect and commune with. Massive walkways built by hanging bridges connect the Elven people together and provides shelter from intruders. Completely one with Nature the Syl’verth use magic to bring light into their homes and relatively shun without malice the use of mechanics within their section of the realm. They are able to commune with the animals and the plants and are gifted with the abilities to heal and to forsee into the future. Initially not wanting to take sides in the war the Syl’verth simply stayed to the Talarnian forest's only emerging when help was requested..the Rosengrant took it as a threat and sent mercanaries and large armies to wipe out the peaceful clan. Turning to the other Immortal's for protection they to fled into the Valley of Echoes and have formed an alliance with the other Immortal clans. They took refuge amongst the denser forest's in the valley and the forest that became their home became known as the Forest of the Angel's.
